i'll start saying this: some moments on this album are plain insane (the one that got me most is on "too weird to live too rare to die", 2'55'' - 4'13'').

groovey DM act, coming at you with a vengeance (actually, the story of the band is that of a revenge, having as arch enemy the frontman of illdisposed). glad they did it, coz i like what i hear. course, for some "trv" metalheads, this is not ok. well, it's more than ok for me. keep spinning it for a while now. and i happen to think that a spin of such kind of albums will do no harm...

in the vein of the classic bay area stuff, the Italians provide a decent slab of thrash on this album. the album was released in the period of the thrash demise, so it went into oblivion relatively fast. but IMHO it shouldn't stay that way. so, here we go.

an interesting new thrash act. i'm a little bit bothered (to be frank from start) by the melodic passages, but luckily there aren't many.

good instrumentation, quality drumming, all modern stuff is here (for better or worse). man, i really hate these melodic choruses (just bumped into one in the track i'm listening). why do they keep coming?

the riffing is sufficiently intense and varies (this is a plus, of corpse), but in this regard, they sound like the other spearheads of the new school, all intensity, fury and determination. unlike some of them, they try to touch the technical realm, and mostly, they succeed (i got an annihilatorish/anacrusis vibe, similar to the one i got from these bands in their good times...).

my guess: we'll either hear from them big, or not at all...

one of the most interesting tech (those days) progressive (nowadays)thrash bands. maybe the term progressive is more accurate, as they increasingly departed from the heaviness of the thrash sound for more complicated song structures and harmonies... however, a band not easily to be forgotten, no matter if we take into account the intensity of the riffs or the range of the voice.

killer EP. thrash/death, regularly crossing the border on the tech realm. excellent skills on all members. the riffing is sometimes a bit melodic, but not to the point of disturbing. quite to the contrary, it seems it's just added incentive, here'n'there. if i were to choose, probably i would pick the last track as being my fave. but this is due to the fact that it's longer, thus allowing them to express everything they want in just that track. there's riffage, soloing, killer vox, tight drumming, time-changes and quality production. worth(at least) a spin ...
